Coronavirus is now mass contaminating India and has claimed the lives of four people. As it is on stage two and will soon progress to stage three in the next week, PM NarendraModi addressed the nation. The PM has urged for Sunday shutdown as the deadly virus is spreading at a rapid rate and has claimed 9000 lives around the world.

While addressing the nation, Prime Minister Shri NarendraModi said: "I request all people in the country to get out of the house only when it is extremely necessary, try and do all work from home." He also announced Janta Curfew as a method of self-isolation starting from 7 am-9 pm, however, people employed in essential services are barred from the curfew.

The reason behind self-quarantine in the form of Janta Curfew is to contain the spread of mass contamination by halting the regular work for at least one and see how the economy responds to the shutdown. He urged the citizens of the country not to step out of the day on Sunday, and if one has to step-out, it should only be for an emergency. The curfew will be self-imposed without any consequences or restrictions by the government.

He also urged the citizens to come to the balcony or main door of their house at 5 pm sharp on 22nd March and express their gratitude towards the people in hospital staff, doctors, nurses, administration, and people involved in essential services. As these people are facing the dangers by treating the affected and keeping the surrounding clean, they are the real heroes who are fighting the mass contamination of the country from the virus.

The Prime Minister also announced the creation of an Economic Response Task Response under the wingmanship of Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the finance minister of the country. The task force will stay in touch with the stakeholders and analyse the market response to the Janta Curfew and accordingly make future decisions while the nation is fighting against Coronavirus.
