On Wednesday, Shivsena led BMC broke down the alleged illegal construction of actress Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Manikarnika Films’ office in Mumbai. On Wednesday, the High Court put a restraining order on the action of BMC. However, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had already completed its action. A hearing was also held on Thursday in the High Court in this matter. The High Court deferred the hearing until 22 September.
The actress showed her angst against the deed in a video shared on Twitter.
After unsettling the plumes of the administering Shiv Sena in Maharashtra with her ‘Mumbai feels like Pakistan Involved Kashmir’ comments, the actress on Wednesday straightforwardly took on Chief MinisterUddhav Thackeray, saying his ‘ego will be destroyed’ the way her Bandra domestic was decimated by the city’s civic body for ‘illegal alterations.’
In the video posted by Kangana, she said, "Uddhav Thackeray, what do you think? That you colluded along with the film mafia, demolished my home and took revenge on me? My home was demolished today, your arrogance will crumble tomorrow."
Supporting the actress, Vishal said in his Twitter statement, “Dear Kangana, Hats off to your guts, you have never thought twice to voice out what is right and what is wrong. It wasn’t your personal issue, but even then facing the wrath of the government, you stayed strong which makes it a very big example. It is something similar to what Bhagat Singh did in the 1920s.”
He further stated, “This will set an example for people to speak against the government when something is not right and not necessarily being a celebrity but also as a common man (sic). Kudos to you, I bow to you,” said Vishal, adding in boldface “Freedom of Speech (Article 19).”
However, some people didn't agree with the actor's support. They took to Twitter to roast Vishal for comparing Kangana to Bhagat Singh.
In a particular tweet by Mystic Tamil, he said, “Didn't know Bhagat Singh had his office demolished for illegal construction. Moodradei, Vishal.”
While many said they stand by the statement, others went against it and said that Vishal's statement has been taken literally when it's spoken metaphorically. Some even concluded about fundamental rights saying that Fundamental Rights are not absolute and follow some kind of restriction or the other.
